Board Game: Checkers



In order to review 2 sentence patterns in Unit 1,
為了複習第一課的英語句型

We played a board game named checkers in English class.
我們今天在課堂中進行了跳棋桌遊


We have learned 9 places and 9 activities.
在第一課中,我們學習了9個地點和9個休閒活動

There are two sentence patterns:
包含兩種英語句型

Where did you go last weekend?
I went to ~~~~ last weekend.
你上個週末去哪?  我上個週末去~~~

What did you do last weekend?
I ~~~~~ last weekend.
你上個週末做甚麼活動?  我上個週末~~~

I designed a checker board with two-color blocks on it.
我設計了一個雙色的跳棋表格

Have kids to pair up.
將孩子倆倆分組

Kids wrote down the 9 places and 9 activities on the checker board.
孩子將9個地點和9個休閒活動寫在跳棋格子中間

Everyone would get three plastic circle chips.
每個孩子會拿到3片透明圓片

Players went "paper, scissors, stone."
兩個玩家猜拳

Winner of the finger-guessing could move one plastic chip forward.
猜拳贏者可以選擇移動一個透明圓片

According to the words in the block, read aloud the sentence 
然後根據方框內的單字,念出正確的英語句子

紅色塑膠圓片的玩家要說:
Where did you go last weekend? 
I went to ~~~~ last weekend.

黃色塑膠圓片的玩家要說:
What did you do last weekend?
 I ~~~~~ last weekend.


The one moved three plastic chips to the other side first, 
最先將3片透明圓片移動到另一邊

Who would be the winner of this board game.
那個人就是贏家

Kids played the checker board game.
孩子正在玩跳棋桌遊

The wind !!
一陣風~~~ㄚㄚㄚ!


Reflections: 1 We spent some time to write down the places and activities.
教學省思:1花費了些時間,在中間格子寫下英語地點和休閒活動,

Therefore, there is only few time left for us to play the board game.
導致沒多少時間最後進行桌遊 (T^T)

Pay attention to the time-restriction.
下次進行活動要確實掌控時間

2. The wind was strong that day.
Some kids stop the game 'cause the sheet was flew away .
上課那天風很大,部分孩子的桌遊紙都被吹翻了(詳見影片二)

I should remind kids to mind the wind.
我應該要提醒孩子注意"狂風"

3.Boys are really good at "Finger-guessing game"
普遍來說,男生比較會猜拳

Girls are weak in that.
女生比較不會猜拳

I might modify the rule: 
下次應該修改規則為

Finger-guessing winner moves two steps
猜拳贏者走兩步

And loser moves one step.
猜拳輸者走一步

Every player would get the chance to practice speaking.
這樣每個人都有練習說英語的機會
