Alphabet Magnets Relay and Blind Game

Alphabet magnets are great tool for kids to recognize the letters' shape

字母磁鐵能幫住孩子加強字母形狀概念

We had two activities with our second graders in the English class.

今天的英語課我們使用這些字母磁鐵進行了兩個活動

First, we had a magnet-relay.

首先，是字母接龍

Five kids in a line.

五個孩子排成一排

 5 kids would need to put the magnets in the correct alphabet order.

輪流將一團混亂的字母磁鐵，依照字母順序排列出來

Second, it's "blind and touch" game.

其次，是瞎子摸字母遊戲

5 kids would ware the eye masks.

五個孩子上眼罩

And they could only use their hands to touch the letter magnet.

然後只能用雙手觸摸字母磁鐵

After touching, the teacher collected all the magnets.

摸完後，老師回收字母磁鐵

Kids took out the eye-mask and  wrote down the answer on the blackboard.

孩子取下眼罩，在黑板上寫出剛剛摸的字母是甚麼

Reflection: 1. I could prepare more eye-masks and involve more kids at the same time.

我下次可以準備更多眼罩，一次邀請多一點孩子上台玩"瞎子摸字母"

2.Except the relay, we might could modify it to match game.

除了接力排順序，也可將活動改成一邊大寫字母、另一邊小寫字母，請每個孩子輪流畫線連連看

3.I wish I could find bigger alphabet magnets for kids who set in the back.

我希望可以找大更大型的字母磁鐵，讓坐在教室後面的孩子看得更清楚一些
