Heart Attack: Review Card Games

Last week, we played a poker card game to review the vocabulary.

上一週，我們用撲克牌遊戲來複習單字

The game is adapted from "Heart-attack."

這個活動改編自「心臟病」

First of all, I show the dice table to kids.

首先，我秀出這張骰子點數表

One dot means the vocabulary about graduation.

一點代表畢業相關單字

Two dots mean the vocabulary about the breakfast in UK.

兩點代表英國的早餐相關單字

Three dots mean the vocabulary about the breakfast in USA.

三點代表美國的早餐相關單字

Four dots mean the vocabulary about the breakfast in Japan.

四點代表日本的早餐相關單字

Five dots mean the vocabulary about the breakfast in Taiwan.

五點代表台灣的早餐相關單字

And the six dots mean the dealer can choose any one topic from the five. 

六點則是遊戲主持者任選其中一個主題

And divide the whole class, 4-5 kids are in one group.

接著將全班分組，4-5人一組

Every group would get a deck of cards and a plastic egg with a dice inside.

每一組分別會拿到一組牌卡以及一顆裝有骰子的扭蛋

  

Kids chose one player as the dealer.

孩子先選出一位發牌者

The dealer shuffled the cards and gave each player the same amount of cards.

發牌者洗牌後均分卡牌給每位玩家

The dealer roll the dice and decide what is the keywords to snap.

發牌者擲骰子決定要拍打的關鍵字彙

For example, if the dice showed one dot,

例如：擲出點數為一點時

 Player would have to snap the card with graduation vocabulary.

所有玩家在看到畢業相關單字出現時就要拍打中心牌堆

I asked kids to read aloud the card while flipping the poker.

我要求孩子在打出牌卡時要唸出單字

But they didn't. (T^T)

但是他們都不理我 (T^T)

They do recognize the word and snap at the right time.

倒是很會認讀字卡，能在每次關鍵卡牌出現時，快速拍打卡牌

教學省思

1. Ask kids to snap and speak the word at the same time to increase the oral practice.

下次進行活動時，可要求孩子拍打卡牌時要同時喊出單字，增加孩子口語練習

2. Ask kids speak out loud the word card they flipped strictly.

要嚴格要求孩子每次翻牌時都要念出單字

3.The review card games suit for 6 units or topics vocabulary reviewing.

這個活動適合教完6個單元或主題單字後實施

4.Kids need to take turns to be the host. 

要讓孩子輪流當發牌主持人

Or they would argued about who's rolling dice.

否則孩子會因為爭執誰來擲骰子而產生吵架糾紛
